even Stars usually go for the nest box option. They are more spacious and usually easier to get in and out of quickly. The plastic nest boxes offered here are solid plastic which makes clean up a snap. You can simply dump the used nesting material out and wash the box clean. These nest boxes can be mounted inside or outside the cage and when mounted outside they feature a handy door on the lid that makes inspecting the nest easy.

For your Zebra, Society, Owls and so forth you may want to do with a bamboo style of finch nest. They are cheap and disposable. Once packed with nesting material they insulate the brood very well and help to hide the eggs and chicks from prying eyes. These nests aren't meant to be peeked in to and the finches will probably stuff the small peep hole in the back with nesting materials to help keep you from seeing anything. These nests can be cleaned with hot water and re-sued a few times before they should be pitched.
