Antibiotics
Broad Spectrum Antibiotics
Antibiotic for ornamental and caged birds for the treatment of susceptible primary and secondary bacterial infections by drinking water medication.
Use: Remove all other water supply and treat birds for 5 days or as directed by your veterinary surgeon. Change water daily and keep water clean of foreign material. Keep medicated water in cool parts of aviary or bird room.
Warning/Notice: The use of antibiotics should always be a last resort option unless you know or strongly believe that infection is indeed caused by bacteria. The over use of antibiotics can result in drug-resistant strains of the bacteria to develop in your aviary. Anytime you administer any type of medication (this includes antibiotics) you should discontinue use of any other dietary supplements. Some vitamin and mineral supplements may render the antibiotic ineffective or react with the antibiotic leading to more illness and/or organ damage.
