My first published booklet is now available! Ok so it's self-published, but that's only because it covers such a specific topic.
What is it about? It's a very frank how-to guide to hand feeding and raising a finch. I have covered everything from deciding which finch should be hand raised, how to feed them, what to feed them, where to house them, how to wean them, and how to adapt your lifestyle to include a tame finch.
Why did I write this booklet? If you have talked with me via e-mail or in person you know I don't recommend hand feeding a finch, especially to a novice. Yet no matter how much I have discouraged this practice I still receive e-mails on a weekly basis requesting more hand feeding advice. Most of these people just picked up the finch tried to hand feed it. Then e-mail me when things go wrong. I hate to see a finch die needlessly. This is why I have written this book. I figured if people are going to hand feed finches they had better be able to get all the information they could get as quickly as possible. This book covers the "what ifs" and the "now what" questions I am frequently asked.
Booklet Basics This booklet is 32 pages long and contains 15 full color images. The booklet measures 8.5" x 5.5". Because it is self-published it's also self-printed on a color inkjet printer. The printing process is the booklets only fault. If it gets wet, the ink will run.
